12 Hours in Shingletown!

I went with my mom to an all day sew-in at Black Butte School.  And since I don't sew, I took the opportunity to do some sketching.

Trying a quick study of "trees."  Or as close to trees as I can get them to look without actually having to draw each individual leaf.  Soon, I will have a better program, and can use more than just the watercolour brush (i.e. I will most likely just use the scratchboard tool that I so loved from an earlier edition of Corel).

I've been inspired by a former classmate to try one of those 30-day challenge things.  I'm doing a Doodle-A-Day!  And here, I'm taking inspiration from the first really Autumn-like day of the year.

Hmm.  Landscape sketches in my future!
